The court emphasizes the obligation of authorities to process requests from citizens timely.

The petitioner, a US citizen at present, states that he lost his Indian Passport, which was duly cancelled by the Indian Embassy in the United States. The petitioner contends that he has filed Ext.P7 request to the 2^nd respondent herein seeking his entry/exit details to and from India for the period from 2015 to 2020 for production before a court in the United States. The petitioner only prays for a direction to the respondents to expedite the disposal of the afore request.

Having heard the learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition would stand disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to consider and dispose of Ext.P7 request, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three weeks from today.
