JUDGMENT
The above writ petition is filed with following prayers :
(i) “Call for a report from the respondents regarding the status of investigation in Crime No. 1183/2022 of Ernakulam Central Police Station;
(ii) To issue writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate Writ, order or direction to the respondent authorities to complete the investigation in crime No. 1183/2022 and file a Final Report at the earliest and within a time frame; (iii) Issue such other Writ, order or direction that this Hon’ble Court may deem fit; (iv) Award cost of this Writ Petition.” [sic]
2. When this writ petition came up for consideration, the Public Prosecutor submitted that the final report in Crime No. 1183/2022 of Ernakulam Central Police Station, Ernakulam was filed and there was some defect and it was returned. The investigating officer will do the needful to submit the defect free final report immediately.
3. If that is the case, recording the submission of the Public Prosecutor and also directing the investigating officer in Crime No. 1183/2022 of Ernakulam Central Police Station to resubmit the final report in the above case, after curing the defect, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within
