JUDGMENT

Dated this the 24th day of September, 2024 This writ petition criminal has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, and prayers are as under;

(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or such other writ, direction or orders commanding the respondent Nos 1 to 5 to direct the respondents 10 to 12 to globally de-index and de-reference from their search results the offending contents which violates the right to privacy of the petitioner;

(ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or such other writ, direction or orders commanding the respondent Nos 3 to 5 to initiate effective action including arrest, detention and seizure with regard to Exhibit P1.

(iii) Issue a direction to the search engines operated by respondents 10 to 12 to endeavour to use automated tools to proactively identify and globally disable access to any content which is exactly identical to the offending content that may appear on any other website/online platforms.
