JUDGMENT

Dated this the 27th day of October, 2023 In the latest report filed, the Sub Collector, Thiruvalla has stated that the Indian Pentecostal Church of God, Kumbanad has taken appropriate measures to ensure that no pollution or nuisance is caused by the conduct of its activities.

2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the report is based on hearsay and not on the basis of any personal inspection conducted. Moreover, in the earlier report, the Sub Collector had pointed out certain violations.

3. Learned Counsel for respondents 2 and 3 asserts that all necessary precautions for averting pollution and nuisance have been taken.

4. I heard the learned Government Pleader also.

Although I find some substance in the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the report ought to have been filed based on personal inspection conducted and no worthwhile action was taken with respect to the violations committed earlier, considering that the respondents 2 and 3 have taken necessary measures to prevent pollution and nuisance by their activities, the contempt of court case is closed directing the authorities to keep vigil and take stringent action in case of any
