ORDER

S. Manikumar, CJ Instant review petition is filed seeking review against the dismissal of the judgment in W.P.(C) No. 5984 of 2011 dated 24.11.2021.

2. In W.P.(C) No. 5984 of 2011, writ petitioner has sought for issuance of a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ or order, quashing Exhibit-P1 order of the learned Lok Ayukta in Complaint No. 2135/2007 dated 20.08.2010.

3. Short facts leading to the filing of the writ petition are that, in Complaint No. 2135/2007 dated 20.08.2010, Lok Ayukta directed the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram, review petitioner, to assign 1 acre and 38 cents of lands in survey No. 295/1 (old survey No. 304/2) of Kulathummal Village to Smt. Rukhia Beevi, 1st respondent/ complainant.

4. The opposite party objected to the application for assignment on the ground that as per the existing rules, consent of the Panchayat is necessary for assignment of the land, and Kattakada Grama Panchayat, respondent No.2, has objected to the assignment of the land. It is also submitted that as per the existing rules, maximum area of land that can be assigned is only 50 cents. Without considering these objections, Lok Ayukta passed the impugned order.
