JUDGMENT

The petitioners, who claim to have been included in a Rank List prepared by the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) for filling up the vacancies in the post of Assistant Professors in their services, have filed this Writ Petition alleging that there are still ten vacancies available; thus praying that it be ordered to be filled up from the eligible among them.

However, when this matter was called today, Sri.Robson Paul – learned Standing Counsel for the KAU, responded to the afore submissions of Sri.K.R.Ganesh – learned counsel for the petitioners, affirmatively saying that there are no vacancies available in the University as of now, and that the Rank List also expired on 19/08/2020. He explained that only four vacancies were notified for being filled up, but that the University appointed more than twenty three persons from the Rank List; and, therefore, that petitioners cannot seek any further relief.
