The petitioner in these two cases - which are being heard together on account of the analogous factual circumstances presented and similarity in the reliefs sought for - is stated to be having interest over certain extents of property, which have now been acquired for the purpose of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
2. The petitioner asserts that he is entitled to full compensation with respect to the properties acquired and thus prays that the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA), appointed under the provisions of the National Highways Act (“NH Act”), be directed to disburse the said amounts without any further delay.
3. I have heard Sri.T.Krishnan Unni, learned senior counsel, instructed by Sri.Jeswin P.Varghese - appearing for the petitioner; Sri.Aamir Sohrab, learned counsel appearing for the party respondents in both cases; and Smt.K.Amminikutty, learned Senior Government Pleader. 4.
