JUDGMENT

Dated this the 3rd day of March, 2022 The petitioner states that her marriage with Mr.Mithun R, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram was fixed by both of their families. The petitioner wanted to solemnise their marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act, 1954. The petitioner submitted Ext.P1 notice of Intended Marriage to the Marriage Officer on 31.12.2021.

2. The petitioner states that bridegroom Mr.Mithun R is working in New Zealand and is not in a position to travel to Kerala for solemnisation of marriage at this point of time due to the Rules and Regulations relating to Covid-19 protocol prevailing in his work place. The petitioner therefore requested the 2nd respondent to solemnise the marriage online. The petitioner submits that this Court in similar circumstances has permitted intending couples to get their marriage solemnised online, in W.P.(C) No.15244 of 2021 and other cases. The petitioner may also be extended with the similar benefits.

3. The learned Government Pleader representing respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner has not submitted all requisite documents in support of the application and especially the petitioner has not submitted the
