Dated this the 9th day of April 2021 These writ petitions are filed on behalf of the petitioners, non-teaching staff, claiming the benefit of 8th Pay Revision Commission granted by the Kerala Government after merger of Regional Engineering Center, as National Institute of Technology, whereas the petitioners in W.P.(C) No.34185/2017 are retired employees, who are also claiming the same benefits.
2. All the petitioners in these writ petitions were initially appointed in the Regional Engineering College, Calicut (REC), affiliated to the University of Calicut and were governed by the provisions of the Kerala Service Rules, 1959.
