JUDGMENT

Petitioner through the instant writ petition sought the indulgence of this Court for taking a call on the request made by the Principal of Mangalam college of Engineering, Kottayam dated 28.06.2021 (Ext.P4) submitted to the Controller of examinations, A.P.J AbdulKalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram for revaluation of mark of petitioner on account of the fact that when the result Ext.P1 was declared, petitioner failed in 'Financial markets and Services'. On having submitted an application for revaluation, as evident from Ext.P2, obtained 17 marks. Still it was not according to the satisfaction of the petitioner, a request was made and as per Ext.P2/2, 47 marks were given but to the utter dismay, again on third revaluation, marks has been awarded as zero. The stark variation in the marks forced the 3rd respondent/Mangalam College of Engineering to issue a communication to the 1st respondent/A.P.J University requiring them for independent evaluation of mark sheet. Even a request Ext.P5 has been submitted by the petitioner to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, APJ University.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, I am of the view that the controversy in this case can be set at rest by issuing directions to Controller of Examinations, A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technology University, Tiruvananthapuram to take a call on the request 28.06.2021 by the Principal of the college and Ext.P5 on behalf of the petitioner for revaluation of answer sheet in view of the fact that there was a stark differences in revaluation ie., 17, 47 and 0 marks. Let this exercise be undertaken by the Controller of Examinations, in accordance with law within a period of 30 days from the receipt of the certified copy of this judgment. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
