JUDGMENT
Petitioner is the 1st respondent in O.P(MV).No.698/2011 of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Thiruvananthapuram. Respondents 1 to 4 herein are the claimants. An exparte award was passed against the petitioner on 29/08/2017. Seeking to set aside the exparte award and for condonation of delay, petitioner filed I.A.Nos.9150/2018 and 9151/2018 respectively. The applications are yet to be ordered. Pending consideration of the said applications, proceedings for recovery are initiated, is the grievance of the petitioner.
2. The applications seeking to set aside the exparte award and for condonation of delay being pending since 2018, I am of the opinion that it would be sufficient if the applications are disposed of without any further delay and in the meanwhile proceedings for recovery be put on hold.
Accordingly, it is ordered that the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Thiruvananthapuram shall take up I.A.Nos.9150/2018 and 9151/2018 in O.P(MV).No. 698/2011 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
