JUDGMENT

Dated this the 29th day of September, 2021 The petitioner, the Thrissur Jilla Motor Transport Operators Association has filed this writ petition seeking to direct the 1st respondent to reopen the building room No.2, by renewing the licence allotted to the petitioner-Association, forthwith or within a reasonable time limit to be fixed by this Court, in the interest of justice.

2. The petitioner-Association submits that the Association is functioning for the benefit of Private Stage Carriage Operators in Thrissur District. The petitioner was allotted room No.2 in the Private Bus Stand of Chalakkudy Municipality. It appears that there were some disputes between the office bearers of the Association, and the arrears of licence fee/rent fell in arrears.

3. When the Municipal Authorities sought to evict the petitioner-Association, the Association filed W.P.(C) No.13658 of 2009 before this Court. This Court as per Ext.P11 judgment dated 26.09.2018 held that at this distance of time it will be impermissible for the Municipality to take any further action based on the orders passed by them.

4. The petitioner submits that subsequent to the said Ext.P11 judgment, the room was closed base
