JUDGMENT

1. The petitioners are the candidates in the Rank List for the post of Watcher in Travancore Devasom Board. The Rank List was published by the Kerala Devasom Recruitment Board. The Travancore Devasom Board has intimated 16 more vacancies pursuant to the interim order dated 20.11.2024 to the Recruitment Board for sending the advice to the Devasom Board for making appointments against the 16 vacancies.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that as the Devasom Board has intimated 16 vacancies to the Recruitment Board for sending advice, the Recruitment Board should act upon the said request of the Devasom Board for sending advice against the 16 vacancies for giving appointment against the 16 vacancies to the candidates from the Rank List in Exhibit P-2.

The learned Counsel for the Devasom Board also submits that the Devasom Board has already intimated 16 more vacancies vide the communication dated 25.11.2024 to the Recruitment Board for sending advice to the 16 candidates from Exhibit P-2 Rank List and it is for Recruitment Board to send the advice for making appointments against the 16 vacancies so intimated to the Devasom Recruitment Board.

4. The learned Counsel for the Recruitment Board submits that the Devasom Recruitment Board shall send the advice in respect of the 16 vacancies intimated to the Board from the Rank List in Exhibit P-2 for making appointments by the Devasom Board.

5. In view thereof, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with direction to the 1^st respondent Kerala Devasom Recruitment Board to send advice in respect of the 16 vacancies intimated to the Recruitment Board vide the communication dated 25.11.2024 by the Travancore Devasom Board for making appointment by the Travancore Devasom Board against the 16 vacancies so intimated to the Kerala Devasom Recruitment Board. On receiving the advice from the Kerala Devasom Recruitment Board, the Travancore Devasom Board shall issue appointment orders to the 16 candidates forthwith, preferably within a period of one month.
