ORDER

The petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime no.1355/2024 of Kundara Police Station, Kollam. The petitioner seeks renewal of his passport, which expired on 30.06.2021.

2. This Court directed the learned Public Prosecutor to get instructions. It was submitted that the investigation is complete and final report has already been filed on

26.12.2024.

3. In the circumstances, this Court finds no impediment in giving a direction to renew the passport. However, if the petitioner is to leave India on the strength of the renewed passport, the same will be subject to further orders from the trial Court. It is clarified that the petitioner shall seek necessary permission from the trial Court to leave the Country.

4. Subject to the above condition, there will be a direction to the 3rd respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner for a period of one year.

The Crl.M.C. is disposed of as above.
