ORDER
This bail application is filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’).
2. Petitioner is the fifth accused in Crime No.915/2024 of Vellarada Police Station registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) and 8(c) r/w Section 29 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘NDPS’).
3. According to the prosecution on 27.09.2024 the first and second accused were found in posession and transporting 136.05 Kg of Ganja in an Innova car bearing Reg.No.KL-24-E-7556, for the purpose of handing it over to the petitioner and the sixth accused for sale in violation of the provisions of the NDPS Act. It was further alleged that the contraband was procured from Odisha with the assistance of third and fourth accused.
4. The petitioner was arrested on 07.11.2024 and he has been custody since then.
