JUDGMENT

The petitioner, a Private Limited Company registered as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 claims that they have purchased property having an extent of 1.01 Ares in Sy.No.139/3A and 0.405 Ares in Sy.No.139/3B of Panavally Village as per the deed dated 24.2.2007.

2. According to the petitioner, they had approached the respondents with a prayer to effect mutation of the property in their favour. However, no final orders have been passed till date. Referring to Ext.P13, it is contended that the enquiry is more or less over and the application is now before the 1st respondent. Though various other reliefs are claimed in this writ petition, when the matter came up for admission, the limited request of Sri. P.Sathisan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, is to direct the 1st respondent to take up a decision to finalize the proceedings in an expeditious manner.

3. The learned Government Pleader submits that the 1st respondent has obtained the report of the Taluk Surveyor and this fact would be evident from Ext.P13. It is submitted that the proceedings can be finalized in an expeditious manner.

4. In that view of the matter, there will be a direction to the 1st respondent to take up the application filed by the petitioner seeking mutation as referred to in Ext.P13 and finalize the same, in strict adherence to law, with due notice to the petitioner as well as the affected parties, if any. Orders as directed above shall be passed expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment.

The petitioner shall produce a copy of the writ petition along with this judgment before the 1st respondent to ensure compliance.

The writ petition is disposed of.
