O R D E R

Petitioner is the accused in SC No.1835/2017 on the file of Additional District and Sessions Court -VII, Thiruvananthapuram arising from Crime No.225/2015 of Pangode Police Station, Thiruvananthapuram. The above case is charge sheeted against the petitioner alleging offences punishable under Section 302 IPC.

2. The prosecution case is that, due to previous animosity of the accused towards Sri. Binu Kumar, the accused with an intention to commit murder of Binu Kumar, attacked him inside the house of the victim. The victim sustained serious injuries and he succumbed to the injuries.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

4. The final report in this case was filed in the year 2016 and the case was committed for trial. At that stage on 26.07.2018, the accused absconded. Thereafter the accused surrendered when coercive steps were taken on 03.03.2020 after a period of two years. Later he was released on bail on 04.03.2020. Once again the accused absconded on 07.10.2023. Thereafter section 82,83 Cr.PC steps were taken. The case was then transferred to long pending register as LP No.99/2024. Thereafter the petitioner was again surrendered and now the trial is already started.

The learned Public Prosecutor submitted that the trial is in the fag end. If that be the case, I am of the considered opinion that this bail application need not be entertained at this stage.

Therefore, this Bail Application is dismissed.
