JUDGMENT

This writ petition was filed seeking to quash Exts. P10 and P11 notices issued by the Secretary of the respondent Corporation with respect to room Nos.31 and 34 of its shopping complex. Licenses with respect to the rooms were obtained by the deceased 1^st petitioner. The 1^st petitioner was a person su Cerebral palsy. The 2^nd petitioner is the mother of the 1^st petitioner. Rooms were obtained for conducting private industrial training institute. Notices were issued by the Corporation when the petitioner failed to pay the license fee.

2. During the pendency of this writ petition the 1^st petitioner passed away. The 2^nd petitioner sought to further prosecute the writ petition in her capacity as the legal heir of the deceased 1^st petitioner.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the 2^nd petitioner is prepared to remit the arrears. However, there is lack of clarity regarding the amounts demanded by the Corporation. According to the 2^nd petitioner the Corporation is not entitled for claiming penal interest.
