ORDER
This bail application is filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short ‘ BNSS ’).
2. Petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime No. 627 of 2025 of Mannarkkad Police, Palakkad, registered for the offences punishable under Section 3 09 (4), 126(2), 115(2) and 103 r/w Section 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ( BNS ), 2023.
3. According to the prosecution, on 14.05.2025, at 4.45 pm, accused Nos.1 and 2 entered into a scuffle with the defacto complainant and hit him with his hands. While so, his friend intervened and the accused started assaulting him as well and the first accused stabbed him with a beer bottle resulting in his death and thereby committed the offences alleged. Petitioner was arrested on 15.05.2025 and that he has been in custody since then.
