JUDGMENT
The petitioner approached this court stating that his Facebook account was hacked. He also stated that his e-mail account with Gmail was also hacked. He further submitted that efforts are being made by some persons to raise false allegations against him through online platforms.
2. He submitted complaints to various authorities and thereafter approached this court seeking directions on the basis of the complaints.
3. The situation prevailing at the time of filing of the petition has been changed by the introduction of ‘the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. In case, the petitioner has any further grievances, the petitioner can approach the authorities under the Rules introduced in the year 2021.
Taking note of the passage of time, I am of the view that this writ petition need not be retained and leave it open to the petitioner to pursue other remedies. Hence, the writ petition is closed.
