The instant appeal is preferred, challenging the judgment dated 30.10.2024 in WP(C) No. 36058 of 2024 by which the petition filed by the appellant seeking a direction to the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 in the Writ Petition to initiate appropriate action on the basis of Ext. P6 complaint lodged by the appellant herein was dismissed by the learned Single Judge.
2. Short facts which are required to be stated for disposal of the appeal are that on 29.07.2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a complaint was lodged by one Pratheesh, the son of the appellant herein, at the Maradu Police Station. In the complaint, it was alleged that his father, Sri N. Prakash, was abducted from his residence at around 9:00 p.m. on 28.07.2024 by certain unknown individuals, who were accompanied by persons in uniform. Based on the said complaint, Crime No. 640 of 2024 was registered at the Maradu Police Station for offences under Section 138(3)(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 .
3. The investigation revealed that the arrest of the appellant was made in connection with Crime No. 309 of 2024, registered at the Puliyangudi Police Station, Tenkasi District, Tamil Nadu, which was register
