JUDGMENT
The above Writ Petition(Crl) is filed with the following prayers:
a. Issue a Writ of mandamus or any other writ or direction directing the respondents to hand over the investigation of Crime No.499 /2025 of Ettumanoor Police stationto Special investigative team like Crime Branch.
b. Grant such other reliefs as prayed for at the time of hearing."

2. Petitioner is the father of the deceased Adv. Jismol Thomas, who was a lawyer practising before this Court. Adv. Jissmol Thomas committed suicide by jumping into the Meenachil river with two minor children on 15.04.2025. Crime No.499/2025 was registered by Ettumanoor Police Station, Kottayam, under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 ( BNSS ), on the basis of the statement given by one Sri.Stephen.P.K, who is the brother of the petitioner.
