JUDGMENT

The petitioner had approached this Court aggrieved by freezing of his account maintained with the 1st respondent bank. Freezing was imposed on the basis of requisition received with the 3rd respondent. The learned Government Pleader on instruction submitted that the crime registered by the 3rd respondent, Crime No.17/2023 was quashed by this Court by order in Crl.M.C.No.6455 of 2024 dated 18.12.2024. Since, the case registered by the 3rd respondent has been quashed, there is no need to retain the freezing or lien on the petitioner’s account. Therefore, the bank is directed to lift the lien/freezing on the petitioner’s account forthwith.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
