ORDER
This bail application is filed under section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short ‘ BNSS ’).
2. Petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime No.1151 of 2024 of Palarivattom Police Station, registered for offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 r/w Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
3. According to the prosecution the defacto complainant was induced by the first accused, who is running a consultancy service and offered an overseas job opportunity in Hungary. The petitioner was allegedly acting as a consultant associated with the first accused. An amount of Rs.2,72,000/- was paid by the defacto complainant in different tranches. The amounts were allegedly transferred to the accounts of both accused, out of which Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only) was credited into the petitioner’s account and thereafter the promised job was not arranged and the accused thereby committed the offences alleged.
