JUDGMENT
This appeal is preferred by the insurance company questioning the award passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Alappuzha in O.P.(M.V.)No.1399/2015.
2. Facts for the disposal of the appeal are as follows:
The claim petition was preferred by the legal heirs of one Sri.Vinod who succumbed to the injuries sustained in a motor accident that occurred on 16.11.2014. While the deceased Vinod was driving a scooter bearing Registration No.KL-04/AC/1245, along the Vandikappally-Cheppad public road from west to east, a lorry bearing Registration No.KL-8/AJ- 3717 collided with the scooter. As a result of the said accident, late Vinod sustained fatal injuries and he was taken to Taluk Head Quarters Hospital, Harippad and after rendering first aid he was referred to Medical College Hospital, Alappuzha and thereafter he took treatment from the Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi and later died on 17.11.2014. The claimants contended that the deceased was working as a trained graduate Teacher in Hindi in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
