J U D G M E N T
This writ petition is filed with the following prayers;
“ i. Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction to the Regional Transport Authority to grant renewal of regular permit in respect of stage carriage bearing No. KL 08/BC 9595 on the route Thrissur – Kozhikode as LSOS untrammeled by the scheme published vide SRO No. 537/2023 by the Government and further direct the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority to issue the permit as Limited Stop Ordinary Service.
ii. Issue appropriate writ, order or direction to the Secretary Regional Transport Authority to consider Ext.P5 application for temporary permit in respect of stage carriage bearing No. KL 08/BC 9595 on the route Thrissur – Kozhikode as LSOS and grant and issue the same as LSOS untrammeled by the scheme published vide SRO No. 537/2023 by the Government iii. Grant the petitioner such other reliefs which this Hon’ble court deem just and fit in the circumstance of the case.”
2. Taking note of the fact that the petitioner’s application for renewal of the regular permit is pending consideration before the 3rd respondent, there will be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the same in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders on the same, at the earliest, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. Ext.P5 application has been preferred by the petitioner seeking a temporary permit is pending consideration before the 4th respondent, which shall be considered within three weeks in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
