JUDGMENT
Aggrieved by the freezing of the account maintained with the Manjeri branch of the HDFC Bank, the petitioner has approached this Court.
2. The petitioner was informed by the bank that restriction was imposed on the account of the petitioner on the basis of the requisition received from respondents 2 and 3. The communication issued by the bank to the petitioner on 9.7.2024 by e-mail is produced as Ext.P1.
3. On 22.5.2025, the Writ Petition was admitted and an interim order was passed directing that the debit freeze on the petitioner’s account shall be confined to the lien marked/disputed amount mentioned in the requisition received by the bank.
4. Learned Standing Counsel appeared for the first respondent bank. Though notice was issued and duly served, there is no appearance for respondents 2 and 3.
5. Learned Standing Counsel on instructions submitted that the total lien amount marked is Rs.16180/-. Further, the learned Standing Counsel submitted that no police authorities other than respondents 2 and 3 have sent requisitions to the bank
