SRI. T.C.KRISHNA, SCGC, SRI. SREEJITH V.S., GP THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 25.03.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:

J U D G M E N T

Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:-

“Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other writ order or direction commanding the 2nd respondent to issue Police Clearance Certificate making appropriate changes in the specimen contained in Appendix-32 of the Passport Manual.”

2. Learned Central Government Counsel would submit that it does not appear from the reading of the writ petition that any application for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) has been made by the petitioner. It is submitted that if the petitioner were to make an application of PCC, a customized PCC can be issued to the petitioner as the petitioner is involved in a criminal case.

3. Heard the learned Government pleader also.

4. Having heard the counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Central Government counsel and the learned Government Pleader and having regard to the submissions made as above, this writ petition will stand disposed of, if the petitioner were to make an application for issuance of PCC, the 2nd respondent shall issue a customised PCC to the petitioner mentioning the details of the criminal case within a period of two weeks from the date on which the application is made by the petitioner.

Writ petition ordered accordingly.
