J U D G M E N T

The petitioners are before this Court aggrieved by rejection of their application for Direct Admission to Class X in the 2nd respondent-School, by the 1st respondent-Regional Director, CBSE.
2. Petitioners 1 to 4, 6 and 7 have studied Class IX in recognised Schools following State Board Syllabus. The 5th petitioner has studied Class IX in a Kendriya Vidyalaya. They approached the 2nd respondent-School affiliated to CBSE for admission to the X Standard.
3. As per the Scheme of the CBSE, the last date for payment of fees to the CBSE for registration of admissions was 30.09.2024 and the last date for payment with late fee was 15.10.2024. Due to financial constraints, the petitioners could pay the requisite fees only on 25.10.2024 and their applications for direct admission to Class X was sent to the CBSE on 25.10.2024 itself.
