BECHU KURIAN THOMAS, J. 2023/KER/59301 ========================

W.P.(C)No.18195 of 2023 ------------------------------------------------

Dated this the 3rd day of October 2023

JUDGMENT

Petitioner’s father had constructed a house numbered as C.C.No.26/445. Later he had constructed a bathroom and later filed an application for regularisation. Her father’s application for regularisation is still pending consideration. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the meantime, the petitioner’s father-the applicant in Ext.P3 expired and petitioner-his daughter is pursuing the said application.

2. The learned Standing Counsel for the Cochin Corporation submitted that no records have been produced either to show that the applicant had died or other records to justify the claim for regularisation. It was further submitted that in case proper application is filed, along with the supporting documents, the 2nd respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, in a time bound manner.

3. Considering the aforesaid, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the application for regularisation, if any filed by the petitioner, in a time bound manner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
