The petitioner is the seventh accused in C.C. No.
408/2022 on the file of the Court of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, North Paravur, which has arisen from Crime No. 498/2008 registered by the Vadakkekara Police Station, alleging the commission of the offences punishable under Sections 420 , 468 and 424 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 32 (A) of the Registration Act , 1908.
2. The crux of the prosecution case is that: the sixth accused is the husband of the defacto complainant (first respondent). The first accused persuaded the sixth accused to transfer the property belonging to the first respondent on the strength of a power of attorney executed by her in favour of her husband.
