This application is filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 seeking regular bail.
2. The applicant is the accused No.17 in Crime No.0001/2025 of Cyber Crime Police Station, Pathanamthitta. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 3 18(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ( BNS ) and 66(D) of the IT Act , 2000.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the applicant made the defacto complainant to believe that he would secure profit by online trading and caused the defacto complainant to transfer a total amount of Rs.1,09,03,914/- to different accounts and thereafter failed to return the said amount.
4. I have heard Sri.Navaneeth.N.Nath, the learned counsel for the applicant and Sri.G.Sudheer, the learned Public Prosecutor. Perused the case diary.
5. The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. The counsel further submitted that no materials are on record to connect the applicant with the alleged crime; hence, he is entitled to get bail.
