JUDGMENT
The above writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:
“(i) To issue writ of mandamus or such other writ or direction directing the 1st respondent to re-consider the matter and to include the names of the petitioners and others in the electoral roll of the Ward No.11 of Puthenchira Constituency.
(ii) To give direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose Exhibit P7 Appeal in accordance with the provisions of Representation of Peoples Act, 1951 at the earliest within a time frame.
(iii) To pass such other order or direction which this Hon’ble court deem fit to pass in the circumstances of the case”

2. When this writ petition came up for consideration, the counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P7 within a short time because the petitioners want to contest in the election.
3. Heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State Election Commission and also the Special Government Pleader.
4. After hearing both sides, I think, there can be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P7 forthwith.
