We have much sympathy for the petitioner, the husband of Smt.Sindhu. They have been living separately for more than seven years. They have two children born in the wedlock. The petitioner approached this Court with a prayer to order an immediate mental health examination of the children and wife.
2. We, in fact, interacted with the parties. Apparently, the dispute now remains a marital dispute. We are also not able to identify any mental ailment with Sindhu, though she may or may not require medical assistance. However, based on the persistent insistence of the learned counsel for the petitioner, we directed both parties to report before the Medical Board, General Hospital, Ernakulam.
3. We perused the report dated 18.11.2025 handed over to us today by the learned Government Pleader, and the same has been returned to the learned Government Pleader. In the report, it is stated that Sindhu does not show any features of psychiatric illness, and it is further opined that further assessment is required to comment on definitive diagnosis. We are conscious of our limitations under this jurisdiction. It is not possible for us to compel anyone to undergo treatment unles
