ORDER
Dated this the 21st day of November, 2025 The petitioner is the sole accused in C.C. No. 448 of 2025 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II, Palakkad, arising out of Crime No. 15 of 2025 of Mankara, Police Station. The offences alleged against the petitioner are under Sections 126 (2), 115(2), 74 and 351(2) of the BNS .
2. According to the petitoner, now he is employed abroad.
He filed Annexure A6 application before the learned Magistrate praying for permitting him to renew his passport, which was dismissed by the learned Magistrate as per Annexure A7 order. According to the learned counsel for the petitoner, the passport of the petitioner expired on 26.05.2025, and unless it is renewed, he will be liable to be deported after six months from the date of expiry. Therefore, he seeks permission to renew his passport at least for a period of one year.
3. The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the prayer on the ground that the if the passport is renewed, the presence of the petitioner may not be available before the trial court for the purpose of trial.
