The closure of an investigation allows the petitioners to seek further legal recourse if necessary.

Headnote:The petitioners requested to quash the FIR based on the learned Public Prosecutor's statement that the CBCID has filed an undetected report on 24.09.2024. The court concluded that as the investigation concluded, the prayer became irrelevant. The petition was dismissed, but the petitioners retain the right to pursue further legal action if needed.

O R D E R

The learned Public Prosecutor, upon instructions, submitted that the CBCID which took over the investigation in this case, has filed an undetected report before the Jurisdictional Court on 24.09.2024. The prayer in this petition is to quash the FIR and accompanying records related to the said case. In the light of the above submission of the learned Public Prosecutor about the closure of the investigation, the prayer in this petition is no more relevant.

Accordingly, the Crl.M.C. is closed, leaving open the right of the petitioners to take recourse to appropriate legal action, if any subsequent steps are taken against them by the Investigating Agency in connection with the FIR registered in this case.
