A.Muhamed Mustaque, J.

This original petition is filed by the landlord. He filed a petition for eviction in the year 2024. This Court had directed the Rent Control Court and the Appellate Authority to dispose of all Rent Control Petitions in a time-bound manner. The statutory provision prescribes a period of four months to dispose of the case after the appearance of the parties. This is often observed more in the breach than in compliance.

2. Accordingly, we direct the Rent Control Appellate Authority to dispose of the matter within a period of three months.

This Original Petition is disposed of as above.

The petitioners shall communicate a copy of this judgment to the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and to the Rent Control Appellate Authority.
