JUDGMENT

The petitioner challenges Ext.P7 demand, which, in turn, was based on the penalty imposed for the unauthorised load in the premises of the consumer. The total amount demanded in Ext.P7 is Rs. 1,38,639/-.

2. Upon admission of the writ petition, an interim order was granted on 19.09.2018 directing the petitioner to remit an amount of Rs. 40,000/-, which, it is submitted by both sides, has been complied with.

3. After hearing the learned counsel appearing on both sides, I do not find any illegality in Ext.P7. In view of the above, the respondents shall issue a demand for the amount due from the petitioner within three weeks from today. The petitioner will be permitted to pay the same within one month from the date of receipt of the demand.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
