JUDGMENT
This writ petition is filed with following prayers:-
“i. issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order directing the respondents to register the birth of the 2nd petitioner based on Exts. P1 to P3 and issue a ‘Birth Certificate’ with date of birth 10.04.1966, ii. to dispense with the translation of the documents produced in Vernacular Language, iii. Pass such other and further orders as are deemed fit and necessary in the interest of justice.” (SIC)
2. The 1st petitioner is a senior citizen aged 85 years and the 2nd petitioner is her daughter. The 2nd petitioner is a nun now serving in Italy. The date of birth of the 2nd petitioner recorded in her Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Driving Licence, Passport and Aadhaar Card is 10.04.1966. Exts.P1 to P3 are the Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Driving Licence, and Aadhaar Card of the 2nd petitioner. Since, the birth certificate issued by the Local Authority is required for the 2nd petitioner to apply for permanent resident status in Italy where she is serving now, her mother, who is the 1st petitioner, made an application to the 2nd respondent on 13.11.2023 for issuance of a birth certificate of the
