IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
VIJU ABRAHAM, J
GEORGE ISSAC – Appellant
Versus
THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR – Respondent

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Shri.Sajeev Kumar K.Gopal
For the Respondents: Sri.P.M.Mohammed Hassan, Sri.K.Janardhana Shenoy, Adv.Riyal Devassy

JUDGMENT

W.P.(C)No.17686 of 2020 is filed challenging Ext.P3 proceedings issued by the respondent Corporation directing the petitioner to stop the discharging of waste water to the public drain and also directing them to install Sewage Treatment Plant, whereas in W.P.(C)No.13129 of 2020, though no notice has been issued in the nature of Ext.P3, the petitioner was directed not to discharge waste water to the public drain.

2. It is brought to my notice that the issue is covered by the judgment of this Court in Platinum Tower Apartment Owners Association v. Thrikkakara Municipality [ 2023 (3) KLT 136 ]. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that in that judgment, some time was granted for installing a proper STP for treating the effluent discharged and a breathing time may be granted to them for installing a proper STP.

Taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to interfere with the orders impugned in these writ petitions. The above writ petitions are disposed of by granting the petitioners 3 months' time to install a proper STP.
