The 1st petitioner is the owner of property having an extent of 2.83 Ares (Sy.No. 487/16-1) and the 2nd petitioner is the owner of property having an extent of 7.8 Ares (Sy.No. 231/9-1), both situated in Block No. 16 of Erath Village, Adoor Taluk.
2. The case of the petitioners is that when they attempted to pay land tax at the Erath village office, they are informed that their properties are under attachment based on an order issued by the Arbitral Tribunal, Thrissur, produced as Ext.P3. Being aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not taking steps to lift the illegal attachment of the properties, the petitioners have approached this court with the following prayers:
i. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the respondents to immediately lift the illegal attachment on the petitioner's property.
ii. Issue a writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, quashing any illegal order of attachment issued solely on the basis of the arbitral tribunal's decision.
iii. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the respon
