JUDGMENT
The above writ petition is filed with following prayers i. “Issue a writ of certiorari calling for the records leading to Exhibit P7 to the extent it includes the name of the petitioner in the supplementary voters list of the voters whose names were removed from the electoral roll of ward no 21 in Valiamaram ward in Alappuzha Municipality;
ii. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the 5th respondent to consider and dispose of Exhibit P9 appeal forthwith, and consequently to include the name of the petitioner in the voters list of Ward No. 21 (erstwhile Ward No. 16) in part 1 of Valiamaram in Alappuzha Municipality therein;
iii. Issue a writ in the nature of declaration that the action of the 2nd and 3rd respondents in recommending the deletion of the petitioner’s name from the voters’ list is nothing but an abuse of statutory power and a subversion of the democratic process, thereby disentitling the 2nd and 3rd respondents from continuing to hold their offices;
iv. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the 2nd respondents to forthwith restore and include the petitioner’s name in the voters’ list of Ward No. 21 (erstwhile Ward No. 16)
