Dated this the 24th day of November, 2025 O R D E R This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023.
2. The petitioner is the accused in Crime No.804/2025 of Anchuthengu Police Station. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable under Sections 332 (b), 62 and 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ( BNS ).
3. The prosecution case is that to satisfy his lust, the accused trespassed into the victim’s kitchen, focused his phone’s flashlight on her face, stabbed her in the neck restrained her and spoke obscene words with sexual connections to her. He also attempted to commit rape on the victim aged 70 years.
4. The petitioner was arrested on 26.08.2025 and he has been in judicial custody since then.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.
6. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the investigation is completed, further detention of the petitioner is not required.
