The petitioners, who are stated to be the members of Neeleswaram Tharbiyathul Islam Sabha, which is a Waqf registered with the 29th respondent Kerala State Waqf Board, have filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India , seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the Waqf Board to take up and dispose of Ext.P7 application dated 14.07.2025, expeditiously, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The said application is one filed invoking the provisions under Section 32 of the Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development Act , 1995. The grievance of the petitioners is that though Ext.P7 application is one filed in July, 2025, in which Exts.P8 and P9 counter statements have been filed by the respondents therein, the said application is still pending consideration, which now stands posted to 03.12.2025.
