IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
P. KRISHNA KUMAR, J
SANTHOSH KUMAR – Appellant
Versus
ADV. SOORANAD RAVEENDRAN PILLAI – Respondent
OP(C) NO. 1590 OF 2018

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SMT.G.VIDYA, SMT.K.P.SURYA
For the Respondents: SRI.S.SREEKUMAR, SHRI.K.S.MANU

The court ruled a matter moot upon tenure expiration of a committee, allowing future claims in trial court.

Headnote:The court addressed the appeal challenging the election committee formed on 17.12.2017, finding the matter moot following the completion of the committee's tenure. The petitioner retains rights to future claims against the trial court. The petition was closed as infructuous.

JUDGMENT

The learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that the matter has become infructuous as the common order under challenge (Ext.P3) was to set aside an election conducted on 17.12.2017 to elect a committee having a tenure of 3 years, which is already over.

In view of the above submission, the Original Petition is closed, reserving the rights of the petitioner to raise any challenge before the Trial Court, if he is still aggrieved.
