JUDGMENT

The above writ petition is filed with following prayers :

“a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to accord permission to the petitioners to deploy services of two elephants/tuskers for pushing the chariots in the two Temples represented by the petitioners herein for the Annual Radholsavam to be conducted at Kalpathy, Palakkad on 14, 15 and 16th of November 2025; b) issue such other or further orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem just and fit in the circumstances of the case; and c) dispense with production of English translation of vernacular documents.” [sic]

2. When this writ petition came up for consideration on 07.11.2025, this Court passed the following order :

Admit. The learned Special Government Pleader (Forest)

takes notice for the respondents.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader (Forest), on instructions, submitted that the 1st respondent has granted permission for parading one elephant in connection with the Kalpathy Radholsavam in this year.
