A writ petition is deemed infructuous if the investigation is completed and a final report has been filed.
Headnote:The petitioner sought directions to complete investigations in two cases, but the Public Prosecutor stated that investigations were complete and a final report had been filed. Consequently, the writ petition was deemed infructuous and dismissed. Issues included whether directions were necessary given the completion of the investigation. The court reasoned that with the final report filed, the petition lacked merit, leading to the dismissal of the petition as infructuous.
