JUDGMENT Dated this the 15th day of December, 2025 The petitioners, who were initially appointed as casual labours in various farms / stations of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University, have approached this Court seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P6 representation within a time frame. Ext.P6 representation has been submitted by the petitioners seeking to publish the rank list and appoint the petitioners as casual labours.
2. Standing Counsel representing the University submitted that W.P.(C) No.40529/2025 had been filed earlier by similarly situated casual employees and this Court directed to take a decision in the matter.
3. The University, pursuant to the direction of this Court, has passed order No.KVASU/GA/LO/7284/2025(1)
dated 14.12.2025 holding that there is no requirement of engagement of casual employees on daily wages as at present.
