JUDGMENT
Petitioner is aggrieved by Ext.P5 Order of the 2nd respondent/Additional District Magistrate, which rejected the petitioner's request for permission to conduct fireworks in connection with the festival of Sri Mahavishnu Ayyappankavu temple at Manjapra, Palakkad district.
2. This Court is constrained to consider this matter today, inasmuch as the sample fireworks are scheduled to be conducted tomorrow (20.12.2025). It was pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioner that Ext.P1 application was filed as early as on 07.10.2025. However, Ext.P5 rejection Order was issued only on 10.12.2025, which left the petitioner in a piquant situation, having been left with little time.
3. In the circumstances, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to permit the sample fireworks, which is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow (20.12.2025) only in respect of such quantity as specified by the 2nd respondent and subject to the conditions to be stipulated by the 2nd respondent. The main fireworks is scheduled on 27.12.2025, by which time, the petitioner will cure the defects, which have been specified in Ext.P5.
