ORDER
This petition seeking regular bail has been filed by the sole accused in Crime No.545/2025 of Fort Cochin Police Station registered alleging commission of offences punishable under Sections 22 (b) and 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
2. The prosecution allegation is that on
13.11.2025 at 2.45 a.m., the accused was found possessing 1.15 gms of MDMA for the purpose of sale in violation of the provisions of the NDPS Act and thereby committed the aforementioned offences.
3. I heard the learned counsel appearing for both sides and perused the available records.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the allegation levelled against the petitioner is baseless. According to him, no contraband was actually recovered from the possession of the petitioner, and he has been falsely implicated in this case without any basis. The learned counsel further submitted that since the investigation in this case is practically over, further judicial incarceration of the petitioner is unwarranted.
